Privacy Policy
TEMPLATE — This is a template, not legal advice. Review with a qualified lawyer before relying on it.
1. What We Collect
Swapper does not require accounts, registration, or the submission of any personal data. The application stores two pieces of information locally in your browser only: your disclaimer acknowledgment (so you are not shown the risk modal on every visit) and your recent swap history. Neither item is transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
2. Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. Vercel Analytics is anonymous and cookieless — it does not set any tracking cookies and does not collect personal identifiers such as names, email addresses, or precise device fingerprints. The data collected includes page views, referrer domains, and general device category (e.g., mobile vs. desktop).
3. Wallet & Swap Records
When you connect a wallet, we store its public address along with when we first and last saw it. When you complete a swap, we store a record of it associated with your public wallet address: the chain, the token pair, the amounts, an approximate USD value, the transaction hash, and a timestamp. We do not store — and never have access to — your private keys or seed phrase. You can permanently delete all of these records at any time using the "Delete my data" button, which asks your wallet to sign a free confirmation message; no on-chain transaction or gas is required.
4. On-Chain Data
Swaps you execute are public blockchain transactions. Your wallet address, transaction amounts, token addresses, and timestamps are permanently recorded on the blockchain and are publicly visible to anyone. This is an inherent property of public blockchains, not something unique to Swapper. We have no control over on-chain data.
5. Third-Party Services
Swap quotes are fetched from 0x and token price data is fetched from CoinGecko. Both of these requests are proxied through our server, meaning your IP address reaches our server rather than 0x or CoinGecko directly. However, their data-processing policies apply to the data we send on your behalf (token addresses, chain IDs, etc.). We do not pass identifying information to these providers beyond what is technically necessary to fulfil your request.
